Archive Format
- How the information appears on the
web.
There are hundreds of
individual pieces of information on this website. Each article is
meticulously scrutinised and catalogued to ensure that it is easy to
find, and accurate in its detail.
However, to ensure that
the website maintains a friendly and usable format, each piece of data
conforms to similar style throughout. Each archive is also given it's
own individual page within the website, catalogued by reference number.
This icon
will lead you
back to the main index page of the website, from any archive.
There are
three types of archive. multiple page, single page and those relating to
the Heritage Book.
Example of a Multiple-Page Archived Article.
Below is an example of
what you can expect to find for one multiple-page article. On each page the archive
number is listed. Alongside is the type of article and the student name,
together with the article's title. In the main section are thumbnails of
each page within the article. If you click on these, a larger image will
be displayed. To return to the previous page just click the "back"
button on your browser. At the bottom of each page is a link to the full
article as a pdf file. This may be quite large, depending on the number
of pages within it. In most cases, you can expect a pdf file to be
between 5mb and 15mb in size.
Example of a Single-Page Archived Article.
Below is an example of
what you can expect to find for one single-page article. This is a
photograph or scan of a large sheet of paper on which the student has
possibly incorporated images, photos and hand-written text. The image in
the centre is the low-resolution version. At the bottom of the page is a link to the
"full
article" as a pdf file. This is simply a higher resolution copy and may be quite large
- up to 5mb in size. Again, this is a pdf file.
